Commercial Description:
Ales are traditional, highly fermented and very distinctive. This Strong Ale with a deep amber-red colour is produced only with first choice malts which give it a characteristic sweet taste. Rich in creamy froth it leaves a pleasant aftertaste of hops. It is a typical strong beer and can be best enjoyed with strong and sharp flavoured food.

330 ml bottle. Amber body with a small tan head. Aroma is malt, caramel, dry fruit and some alcohol. Flavor is sweet malt, caramel, some bitterness and alcohol. Quite ordinary and a bit out of balance, to strong on alcohol.

Pours amber/red, thin off white head.
Nose is interesting, strong vanilla & a kind of berry fruit.
Flavour is somewhat sweet, sugary. Fruits are there, with a mild balancing bitterness.

Bottle@Home. Raisin and vanilla aroma. Copper color, off-white head, good lace. Sweet, vanilla, bitter, mint? Soft and smooth. Very good attempt but a little out of balance though.

(Draught) Pours deep red. The aroma is of dried fruits like raisins and plums, some sugary caramel and floral and earthy hops. The flavour is of dried fruits - raisins, figs and plums, syrup, caramel and floral hops. The mouthfeel is a bit sticky and syrupy. Medium sweet, medium bitter and light dry. Medium bodied.
