Commercial Description:
Ales are traditional, highly fermented and very distinctive. This Strong Ale with a deep amber-red colour is produced only with first choice malts which give it a characteristic sweet taste. Rich in creamy froth it leaves a pleasant aftertaste of hops. It is a typical strong beer and can be best enjoyed with strong and sharp flavoured food.

Ruddy dark brown color, lightly hazy and with a good fizz. Creamy and adherent foam, good duration. Powerful and alcoholic aroma; burnt malt and woody notes. Crisp and full bodied taste, elevated alcoholic perception. Must and wine aromas, much yielded and flowery. Extended and bitter final.

(Bottle 33 cl) Dark brownish with a reddish tint. Clear and filtered, basically without head. Very full body, very fruity almost vinous notes - port-like perhaps? nice balance between sweetness and bitterness. Extremely delicious Old Ale by English inspiration. 060205

33cl bottle. Did’nt expect to much of this one after trying the <a href="http://www.ratebeer.com/Ratings/Beer/Be ale from the same brewery. Boy, was I (happily) surprised! Sweet malty nose dissapears rather quickly. Reddish brown, murky, with quickly disappearing head. The taste is very malty wihout being sweet, Nice taste of hops and fruit. Balanced bitternes in the aftertaste. Warming alcohol. Higly carbonated but still a nice mouthfeel. A very nice beer indeed.

Beautiful amber color. Malty aroma and flavor, maybe too sweet and too high wood sensation, like mature/oxydized wort…

Red-brown colour with small head. Malty, caramel, butter, hint of liqourice, alcohol noticeable, well balanced and pleasent. Gets a little watery in the end.
