Commercial Description:
Ales are traditional, highly fermented and very distinctive. This Strong Ale with a deep amber-red colour is produced only with first choice malts which give it a characteristic sweet taste. Rich in creamy froth it leaves a pleasant aftertaste of hops. It is a typical strong beer and can be best enjoyed with strong and sharp flavoured food.

Bottle, in Cinque Terre, Italy. It´s a very good beer, with dark amber coloration. Full-bodied, it seems a belgian beer. Congratulations!

Bottled 33cl. It pours a beautiful amber beer with a small disappearing beige head. Aromas of malt, raisins, melon, sorbet and a hint of vanilla. A very nice nose. The taste is of melon, malts of a good blend, some alcohol. A perfectly balanced strong ale. The flavors remind me a bit of a belgian trappist; fairly low bitterness. There is a madeira touch to this beer. Some caramel shows up just before the finish with some grassiness, slight butteriness. A rather sweet beer. A very good expression of an English Strong Ale, I’ m impressed!

(Bottle 33 cl) Dark brownish with a reddish tint. Clear and filtered, basically without head. Very full body, very fruity almost vinous notes - port-like perhaps? nice balance between sweetness and bitterness. Extremely delicious Old Ale by English inspiration. 060205

Bottle:27/10-06 Deep brown/Red clear colour, with a werry nice creamy head.Aroma is malty and a nice balanced bitterness in the end. Flavor is lots of malt!!,citric, alc, bitternes whos is werry nice balanced.Spicy too, and in the ending is werry nice. Werry werry nice beer. I get a kind of bock beer feeling on this, maybe because of the maltyness in it.Medium body, and medium finish.

[Bottled] Dark, clear amber colour. Big fruity nose, with caramel, very clean. Loads of toffee in flavour with an edgy toast bread backbone, that lingers nicely. Rich malty, nicely so. Big long flavour.

[Sampled in 2004.] Bought 5 bottles at Køvenhavnske Øldage and they were all very good indeed, with many good strong ntoes such as alcohol, dry fruits, caramel, medium complex, fullbodied, licorice, sweetness and hops in balance. Nice beer, but it has dissapeared since!

Ruby colour; short but lasting head, good-looking. Sweet aroma of caramel and fruit (plums). The taste, sweet but never cloying, is balanced by a remarkable long, dry, hoppy finish. Medium to full body.

Bottled(330ml). -Reddish amber coloured, medium white head, malty alcoholic nose. Aroma is sweet malty and slight fruity with notes of toffee and cocoa(maybe). Few alcohol hints and moderate sweet dry alcoholic finish.
