Commercial Description:
This classic auburn-red lager descends directly from the first "Vienna" produced in Trieste at the beginning of the Twentieth Century. It maintains its smooth, fresh, simple taste together with a cleverly weighted flavour of malt and hops. Because of the simplicity and balance of its aroma this light red beer is perfect with all kind of food.

The beers floods out of the bottle upon opening. The color is dark golden and the head is huge and creamy. The aroma has a light sweetness and notes of malt and caramel. The flavour has a light sweetness, lots of smooth malt and caramel og the finish has a very, very light bitterness. Smooth and nice. 2458

Brandy in colour with a suprisingly large head. Aroma of malbec wine and caramel. A battle for dominance in the mouth. One second its fruit, the next sour hops, the next sweet malt. They just don’t want to balance each other out. The joyful nose saves this one from disaster.

(33 cl bottle at 3 Smĺ Rum, Göteborg) Clear copper color, white head. Malty somewhat acidic scent, also grainy and sweet. Sweet, malty and vegatable taste. Spritzy mouthfeel, low bitterness. Sweet and grainy aftertaste.

[Sampled in 2005.] Nice brew of vienna-stylle with some freshness and sourness in its flavor
