bottle. wondeful barley wine from an outstanding brewery.... pours a deep red with a thick white head... lots of yeast sediement in the glass. brilliant aroma full of alcohol and caramel. overly smooth for a barley wine... not the hoppiest of barley wines, which is not a bad thing, but I tend to like the hoppier ones more so.... thick and gooey palate... simply a smooth and very warming barley wine.

Dark amber beer with a very small white head. Pretty red color when held close to the light. Plum and caramel aroma along with a decent bit of hop bitterness. Sweet upfront with an underlying hoppy note that refuses to mask the wonderful dark fruit flavors in this beer. Notable alcohol presence in the finish. Very enjoyable.

alcohol, raisin, caramel dominate the nose. Very turbid, dark ruby/mahogany color with slight yeast suspended. Caramel sweetness followed by slight yeast bite (should’ve decanted better) and appropriate alcohol presence. A well attenuated beer that still retains the the big body of a barley wine. Quite a solid product from a very capable brewery.

Very smooth, sticky, caramel like feel. Wonderful winter warmer with a slight taste of alc. A good barleywine that will improve with age.

Pours a dark copper with medium tan head, and nice lacing. The nose is cherry, caramel and dark fruit. The flavorhas subtle hint of the nose, but is more citrus and hopped than one would expect. Would like to cellar a couple years and try again. A very good barley wine.

12 oz, batch 8211. Clear, dark copper-brown with a reddish tint. Four finger, lasting head with sticky webs of lace. Spicy raisin, cherry, cake and caramel aromas. Sherry and mixed fruit on the front with a citrus-herb hop flavor and dryness on the finish. Syrupy, medium-heavy body is smooth and tongue-tingly.

dark hazy amber with white head and honeycomb esque lacing. Alcohol is extremely well masked. Malts and yeast on the nose. Flavor is nice. hints of sweet malts and a bread like finish. I thought this would be hot in its young age... nope

Glowy orange body with a delicate circular off-white head. Hoppy, malty with loads of dark fruit and caramel complexities. Warm finish. Stellar dessert brew.

Dark brown/black with lacing white head. Smells of roasted malts with notes of yeast. Really smooth on the tongue. Tastes malty and sweet, smooth all the way down. Slight bitter finish but really really nice.
