Batch 7695. 12 oz. bottle. Pours out a nice brown with a small tan head that fades quickly. Aroma is of sweet carmel and dark candi sugars, touch of hops noted as well. Taste is very sweet of carmel, molassas and spice. Sticky as can be and absolutely wonderful flavor. The sweetness is then balanced out by a slight hop bittering for a clean finish. Mouthfeel is silky and notable as this brew is very pleasing to drink. I will say that this has been a pleasure of a drinking experience and I can’t wait to hide my other bottle for a year or so and see how she does.

Botle from a trade with The_Epeeist. Thanks Chris! Pours a murky reddish amber color with a small off white head. Aroma of malt, toffee, and fermented fruit. Has a bit of a sweet flavor intially amd then gives way to a smooth hop taste. The alcohol was nicely balanced with the hoppy, every so slight bitter finish making it a very enjoyable beer to drink.

Brown in color with off-brown head. Caramel nose with a hint of spice. Big and sweet up front with just a hint of hoppy love. Medium body with a nice mouthfeel. Finish is clean with just a bit of burn from the alcohol.

12 oz bottle. Im fairly convinced that Bells could make a chipotle infused pale lager and it would be good. This is a fine barley wine. The aroma is so malty, with lots of caramel and brown sugar in the nose. Flavor is delicious, although it’s a tad hot right now. This will age to be a tremendous beer.

12oz. Bottle: Medium sweet aroma. Smells very malty, with notes of caramel, yeast, bread dough, cinnamon-raisin bread, and more malts. Poured brown with hints of red and amber. Medium-sized tan head lasted throughout. Good lacing. Very cloudy. Tons of floating particles. Opaque. Flavor is medium sweet and medium bitter. Starts off very malty, with flavors of wheat bread, and caramel. Then it becomes hoppy and bitter. Medium body. Slick texture. Soft carbonation. Bitter, salty finish. A nice Barley Wine.

Thanks to Mibromeo for this one. (Secret Santa July 2006) Vintage 05, methinks. Pours brown with a tanned head. Sweet and very dry. Vary malty with strong alcohol flavors. Low carbonation. Very full bodied. Harsh on the throat. Quite bitter finish.
