Commercial Description:
The American Wheat Ale is a clean, refreshing golden ale made with Northwest Two-Row and White Wheat Malts. A low hop character allows the grain flavors to dominate. Served unfiltered with or without a citrus balance (lemon wedge).

(10/28/08) Draught sample at the brewpub in Santa Rosa. 5.1%. Slightly hazy yellow-ish golden color. Aroma of flowers and some fruits. Sweetish flavor with some graininess and some fruitiness. Rather light-bodied.

On tap @ Third Street poured a lightly hazy gold with a small diminishing white head. Aromas of wheat yeast and light straw. Palate was light to medium bodied and crisp. Flavors of wheat, straw and light yeast with a crisp malty finish.

Draft at the brewpub. Light wheaty aroma. Pale gold color with white head. Medium body with mild carbonation. Starts with wheat, balanced by mild hop. Not too dry. Very nice. Bitter builds a bit in the finish. No fruit, but a little spice. Not a hefe.

Light amber with a thin white head, moderate lacing. This is very light and a bit fizzy. It has pretty good, if mild, flavour all-round and is generally well-balanced. There is a prominent wheat/grain flavour that is very much like hazelnuts, which is fairly interesting. For an American wheat, it is pretty good and certainly memorable.
