(10/28/08) Draught sample at the brewpub in Santa Rosa. 5.1%. Amber-colored. Aroma has some cherry and some chemical artificial notes. Sweetish flavor with some artificial sweetener and cherry juice. Light-bodied. Not too good.

Suprised how well I liked this - almost like a cherry soda. Big cherry flavor and aroma. very sweet and light tart.

This is a very nice cherry ale and good for those who like a cherry/fruity element. It’s not one of my favourites, but I do like it and I think it does its job very well. There is a definite sweetness and pleasant, prominent cherry/fruity aroma and flavour, with a noticeable, but not overpowring, perfuminess. The colour is light orange and it has a moderately good white head. A pleasant tartness and mild bitterness balance out the other elements very well. It’s a nice change of pace every once in a while or great if one likes cider, but it’s certainly not for those who want heavy-duty beer.

Draft at the brewpub. Poured a clear orange color. Head was thin and white. Aroma was of subdued cherry pie. Slightly sweet on the tongue with tart dark cherry flavor. If you like cherry, you’ll like this one. Otherwise....

Draft. Pink beer with a light pink head. Cherry pie aroma and flavor - sweet cherries, bready pie crust. Medium body. Lingering cherry pie.
