The flavour is strong and rich, being well-balanced with a roasted malt tatse but without too much of a coffee element too overpower it. I think this is an excellent porter and it is also very smooth and drinkable.
On Cask: On cask, this is definitely a little different, but I can’t fully identify how. The closest I can come is saying that it has more of caramel-spice element to the body, but it is more mild overall. It’s hard to say which way I like it better. bhensonb (4294), Woodland, California, USA

Near opaque brown/black color with a tan head. Medium body with very smooth carbonation. The flavor reminds of the old Guinness (this is a heavy porter). It’s a very toasted porter with a nice amount of bitter in the finish. YogiBeera (2437), Hamburg, Germany
