Wulfstan (509), California, USA Sep 17, 2007 Updated: Sep 24, 2007Thick and rich in appearance, texture, and flavour. It has a deep, slightly reddish brown colour and it is somewhat cloudy, giving it a different and memorable appearance if not exactly ideal. it has a nicely laced, long lasting, frothy head that is indicative of the thick & frothy, but not fizzy, texture. The flavour has a definite sweetness to it, but this wonderfully offsets the strong, rich, full bodied flavours and the hoppy bitterness. Heavy duty, but also very drinkable and memorable. GeneralGao (3051), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Sep 6, 2007 Draft at the brewpub. Poured a murky brown color with red highlights. Head was thick and off white with decent lacing. Smelled of raisin, port wine, and molasses. Thick, full bodied mouth feel. Very sweet on the tongue with lots of raisin flavor accented by molasses and light brown sugar.
