Lubiere (4463), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Aug 30, 2009 A golden amber ale with no head. Aroma of mashed malt grains, herbal and nutty. In mouth, a very grainy malt with light British hops. Again, very boring. On tap at brewpub, August 16 2009. IrishBoy (2685), Bakersfield, California, USA Apr 6, 2009 Draft at the brewpub, Cask version and draft. Nose of caramel, flowery hops, and some light fruity notes. Clear amber with a big, glasslacing, off white head. Flavor is caramel, light bitterness, and a small bit of fruity sweetness. bhensonb (4182), Woodland, California, USA Nov 27, 2007 Draft at the brewpub. Aroma of light raosted caramel malt and floral hop. Amber color with white head. Thinnish body with creamy carbonation. Strange, but good, fruity flavor notes. The malt flavor is not all that roasted. The hop must very floral. The finish is dry, but only mildly bitter. Wulfstan (509), California, USA Sep 27, 2007 Updated: Jan 28, 2008On tap this is a mild, but good beer. It hardly ranks near the best ESB-types, but it is pretty tasty and very drinkable. The flavours are good, with a nice blend of maltiness and bitterness with some moderate toasty richness. The result is a beer that is flavourful and easily drinkable, even if not outstanding. As with many Aleworks beers, the appearance is ok, but not great, with a somewhat weak head. GeneralGao (3051), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Sep 6, 2007 Cask at the brewpub. Poured a clear orange color. Head was thin, white, and didn’t leave any lace behind. Aroma was of light biscuity malt and toasted white bread. Smooth cask mouth feel with carbonation on the low end, as expected. Not much flavor other than some bready malt. Eh. badlizard (2324), Berkeley, California, USA Aug 2, 2007 Clear golden orange with fizzy white head. sweet malty aroma. Thick syrupy palate. Malty wome what molasses taste with a slight bitterness in the finish. pantani (1894), Salinas, California, USA May 30, 2006 Hops and water with malt make up the aroma. Has a very kool-aid like taste, like cherry kool-aid.
