I don’t have much experience with kolsch, a type I don’t really care much for, but this is a pretty good beer even if not one of my favourites. It is light gold in colour with a thin white head leaving some decent, but thin, lacing. There is a noticeablebitterness but it is crisp and not at all overpowering. It has a definite bready taste that is both a little tangy and also mildly, but definitely, like hazelnuts (although less noticeable than in the Aleworks’ American Wheat).

Clear yellow with a creamy white head. Faint bready aroma. Strong tangy wheat bread taste.

At NorCal Brewers Guild Festival at Raley Field. Light golden color with a lightly lacing white head. Light straw aroma. Nice light citrus start backed by a little malt. Light bitter finish. Very good indeed.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours a dark yellow. Light malt aroma. Crisp light malt taste with a hint of bitterness. Decent.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden yellow with a fully gone white head. Aroma is mild fruity and vague cornish malt. Light malty and crisp bitterness in the flavour. Ends medium dry and slight golden malty.

On tap. Pours an almost clear yellow with a white head. Discreet malt aroma. Medium body, sweet clean malts and a dry, lightly hoppy finish. 110709

Draft at the brewpub. 4.7% AbV. Poured a slightly hazy golden color. Head was thin and white. Fruity smell reminiscent of green grapes. There was also some subdued grassy hop aroma. Flavor was similar, but there was also a husky grain flavor that was absent in the aroma.

Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a clear pale yellow color with a small white head. Has a malty grainy aroma. Sweetish malty grainy and bready flavor. Has a fruity malty grainy finish.
