Bottle. Hazy amber thin head. Spicy floral bread and caramel aroma with some barnyard notes. Prickly mouth feel, quite carbonated. Doughy cracker flavor, malty with caramel. Decent body, little hop flavor or bitterness. Nice picnic ale.

Slightly hazy orange-ochre beer under small yellowish head. Watercress aroma, fresh, caramel and sweet malts. Slightly sourish, toasted and malty taste, a bit like sourdough bread, toasted, and maltcookies. Quite sweet main taste, if a bit dull, with always the sourish lining. Light to medium bodied, a bit like fruitjuice-without-pulp like MF. Not bad, just a decent session ale.

The color was beautiful and classic. The aromas were funky and amazing, like sundried tomatos with malt. This beer showed true finesse, and was extremely freindly on the palate.

Beautiful orange-amber color, with a high carbonation that produces an extreme perlage, very nice to see indeed, and a persistent head. There is subtle and nice aroma, of malt and leafy hop, maybe some traces of good yeast. It has a medium body, where the malt is not so much present (maybe there has been some overfermentation and the sugars are too much reduced); it has a light residual sweetness, coming in later, and a light but pleasant mix of hop and yeast. Simpler than the Blonde, but pleasant.

tasting notes from last year. Explosive beer. Foams like a madman! Orangish colored pour with crazy white head that lingered quite a while. Some caramel and fruit on the nose, nothing spectacular. Some spice in the flavor. I wasnt really impressed with this at the time... I think I was looking for something else at the time and they were out. I should try it again for an up to date rating.

750 ml bottle purchased at John’s Grocery in Iowa City. Gusher. Cloudy medium orange color. There was some chunky sediment floating around in the glass. Head was off white with decent retention. Attractive aroma of yeasty bread dough, spices, a dash of brown sugar, and a bit of ginger. Slightly sweet on the tongue with carbonation on the high end of the spectrum. There was a malty caramel backbone which supported other flavors of white wine, cereal grain, clove, and nutmeg. Very nice beer.

Gusher. Amber with I head that takes up most of the glass. Aroma is caramel, doughy, and a light sourness. Taste is caramel, light pale maltiness showing, a hint of smoke, light hoppiness. Besides the over carbonation, it was terrific.

Bottle. Aroma of malted barley. Lightly roasted malt. Caramel and toffee. A hint of earthy dirtiness. Some baking bread. Pours cloudy dark copper with lots of particulate. Pleasant flavor profile with notes of barley, toasted malt, biscuits, yeast and a hint of dry earthy hops. Creamy on the tongue with lively carbonation.
