Slight hazy amber hue, with a multitude of particles of lees swirling around, with a rocky beige head, leaving laces, yeasty, toasted malt nose, with a nice ripe apple and raisiny, fruity accent, a mild floral hop note, with a faint spicy aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, sweet toasted malt character, with a good caramelized ripe apple accent, with some nutmeg spicy notes, a nice champagne-like bibbling, with a subtle flowery hop, leading towards a malty, faint hop bittering finish.

1 pint 9.4 oz bottle $9.99. The aroma is sweet candy sugar, sweet malts, mild raisin notes, some citrus and spice a soft floral aroma that is very inviting. The body is a bright copper/amber color and supports a massive three fingers thick head that is ivory white, fluffy and lasting. Fore is dry and grainy with toasted breads, mild baked raisin and caramel flavors, honey and sweet malt. Very tasty. The carbonation is biting and gives some crispness to the rounder, lightly sweet base flavor.

Another exploding bottle biere de garde - this happens more times than not, but being prepared with two large snifters it caused no real problems. Pours amber with a fair amount of sediment and a HUGE pillowy off-white head. The aroma has lots of farmhouse spice and yeast, toasted malt, anise, sharp fruits and mellow apricots. Medium body that is very crisp and clean with sharp carbonation that is very complimentary to the flavors. The taste strarts with creamy fruits, noticeable malt presence, minor hints of cardboard and bits of earthiness. The finish has spice and spritzy carbonation giving it a crisp refreshing feel. The cardboard aspect disappears further into the bottle. Well done enjoyable biere de garde.

Bottle. Bronze beer with a huge off-white head. Sweet caramel aroma with lemony citrus, spice, earth, and toasted grains. Then a long wait while the head just sat there. Earthy, peppery flavor with good caramel and some fruitiness. Medium body. High carbonation. Finishes dry. LIngering earthy spiciness.

] Pours a clear deep amber, topped by an impossible head of light tan foam. Too much head retention - foam oozes out of the top of the bottle, even after I’ve poured off 4-5 ounces. Light malt caramel aroma, with a soft fruitiness. Delicious beer - light caramel, some dark honey, sweet bread, and a touch of dried apricot. These sweet flavors are nicely balanced by the fresh earthy hops. Exceptionally smooth beer - medium body and lots of gentle carbonation.

From a gold plastic wrapped, capped 750 ml. green bottle with a blurb along the left side of label, no freshness date, sampled at cellar temperature in a tulip glass. Poured a hazy orangey amber with a large frothy, foamy off-white head that slowly settled into a thin creamy foamy lacing, small amount of sticking. Aromas of lightly toasted cereal grains and earthy, spicy yeast, a light lemon fruitiness, and a soft herbal hop. Good active carbonation and a crisp, dry, softly slick, velvety smooth medium-light bodied mouthfeel. A nice malty and yeasty taste, toasted grainy with a subtle malty sugariness, earthy, peppery yeast, dry leafy, herbal hops, a good soft lingering bitterness, a subtle pear and citric fruitiness, the alcohol is well masked and provides a very soft warming presence in the palate, and a dry leafy, subtle citric and grainy finish. This is a brewery I am becoming more impressed with, this is well worth trying, good, smooth drinkability, I just wish it had a cheaper price.

Hazy amber color, good sized white head that had a long hang time then faded slowly to leave a decent lace behind. The aroma was hoppy with a decent malty side and a bit of band-aid or somethng that is kind of funky. The flavor was another surprise.Nice malty taste with a good hop showing some citrus and caramel and a nice smooth feel all around.Pretty decent brew and well worth trying again but there fairly pricey at $12/bot

Dark orange colored, big light brown head. Rather thin aroma with yeast, spices and some sweet caramel, some weird banana in aroma also. Medium bodied. Flavor is also rather mild with spices and yeast, some berries and even metal in drying aftertaste.
