Caramel and malt nose, fair hop crispness, nutty and nice. A very good brown ale, good with most food.

Clear orange/brown color with a creamy off-white head. Faint hops and malt aroma. Crisp, slightly hoppy flavor with toasted nut and brown sugar. Fairly dry finish.

On tap, at the brewpub. Dark brown, small tan head. Smells like toast! Toasted nutty brown aroma - nice. Really nice nutty brown taste. Lingering sweetness. A little watery, but otherwise solid - an excellent brown ale.

~Pours a clear brownish amber color with small head. ~Strong scent of caramel malts, alcohol and some roasted malt (coffee like). ~Roasted malt flavor, some toffee and slight citrus. ~Medium smooth feel. Roasted malt finish. ~Very nice brown ale! gets better as it warms up.

On tap at the brewery: Deep golden orange color with a very light tan head. The aroma was full of coffee, nuts, and chocolate. The flavor was extremely nutty with a huge coffee grounds character in the aftertaste. Crisp and slightly thick feel.

Tap. Reddish brown, strong roasted coffee aroma. Something like a little brother of their stout. Dark malty notes throughout., some chocolate. Mild effervescence, some soda flavor in there.
