anders37 (4516), Malmö, Sweden Mar 9, 2009 Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a pale golden color with a small off-white head. Has a malty spicy yeasty aroma. Malty hoppy spicy and yeasty flavor. Has a malty spicy finish. GJF (480), Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA Apr 23, 2008 This is a solid tripel. Pours very light with little head, but the flavor is a nicely spiced malt with a pretty balanced hop finish. I liked it. rmussman (905), California, USA Apr 5, 2008 Sampled on site. Color was a little concerning as it was much lighter than expected. The flavor however was very full bodied and truly had the taste and feel of a nice belgian. I think this beer needs work but well crafted with nice spicing. BillKismet (1897), Seattle, Washington, USA Mar 26, 2008 Decent carbonation, but rather vapid looking light blonde with ring of head. Enjoyably yeasty aroma rife with zesty-zing of esters and a lovely clove prominence. Prickly yeast and baked apple and clove flavor with apple finish. Alcohol is experienced without spoiling the taste. A great offering. Papsoe (14642), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 5, 2007 (On tap) Clear, golden with a small, white head. Sweetish, fruity nose with some yeast. Good, solid body with fruity accents, sweetish malt and some diacetyl. An OK Tripel, if not exactly an overly personal interpretation of the style. 240307 bb (2905), Martinez, California, USA Mar 22, 2007 Draft. Golden amber beer with an off-white head. Banana and yeasty, spicy aroma. Yeasty, spicy flavor with good backing fruity esters and some banana. Lingering yeast, spice, esters. Nice complexity. jgb9348 (2492), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA Mar 21, 2007 Light golden coloured body with a pale white head atop the beer. Strong essences of lemon, citrus and wheat from this one. Full-bodied; Strong flavours of alcohol, wheat, citrus and yeast rise from this one, along with plenty of sweet tastes. Aftertaste shows some spice, but finishes very sweetly. Overall, a good take on a tripel or Belgian Strong - the best of the bunch here at the brewery. I sampled this beer on draught at the brewpub on 28-February-2007. willblake (2160), Belcamp, Maryland, USA Feb 25, 2005 02.18.05 Golden colored. Small head. A fair take on a b.p. Belgian. Certainly a strong ale, maybe too strong on the nose as the alcohol is very peppery and re-emerges retronasal. Plenty of Belgie yeasties and a nice hoppy finish save this beer. Lingering alcohol.
