Thirsty Bear Howard Street IPA

Part of a tasting tray sampler at the brewpub. Clear bright orange-gold. Flowery, perfumey citrus aroma and flavour, moderately bitter finish. I reckon that hardcore hop-heads wouldn’t be too impressed, but I found this to be decent enough. Maybe its because their other beers were so average.

Clear golden with a fizzy white head. Citrus caramel malt aroma and taste with mild pine notes.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden orange with a small to fully gone white head. Mild apple to mango fruity hops aroma. Winegrape fruity hops flavoured, light bitterness and good malt base to counterbalance this. Crisp, vibrant and fruity bitterness into the far finish.

I had this on draft at the Thirsty Bear brewpub. nice citric hoppy flavor, finishes cleanly. good IPA

~Pours a clear gold with lasting white head. ~Strong grapefruit hop scent with malt backbone. ~Sticky grapefruit flavor with malts. ~Medium feel, a bit sticky, bitter finish. ~Good IPA, fairly average.

Nice tasty sweet floral hop. Really good and satisfying and fresh. Nothing unpleasant. Very balanced and drinkable.

Tap at the brewpub: Clear golden with a white ring of head. Light hop citruses in the aroma- cascade- typical. Light feel with some sweet citruses in the flavor as well as a peanuty back. With again, diacetyl. The finish is perfumy, inky and myrcene notes. Not good.

Draft at brewery. The aroma and body on this was very fresh, as if it were brewed that day. A bit more bite and perhaps unbalanced that other ipa’s tasted on this trip. 21st ammendment was superior to this example.
