Papsoe (9999), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 5, 2007 (On tap) Hazy, dark brown with an orange hue and a small, off-white head. Lightly tart aroma. Medium body - you don’t sense 10% alcohol at all. Lightly tart brett-likke accents - where do they come from? Dry, lightly roasted accents. Very interesting really - reminds me mostly of a good Flemish Sour. 240307 bb (2088), Martinez, California, USA Mar 22, 2007 Draft. Brown beer with a reddish tinge and an off-white head. Malt, oak, and a slight raspberry aroma. Oaky, malty, syrupy raspberry flavor. Medium body. LIngering syrupy finish. Muddled. Trying to do too much with this one. jgb9348 (1821), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA Mar 21, 2007 Deep purple coloured body with a thin white head. Aroma of vinegar (unpleasant) and prunes, along with some light malt and caster sugar. Light-bodied; Strong raspberry flavour up front with a good sweetness and a decent body. Aftertaste is a bit more ’off’ with an odd alcoholic and funky taste to trail the actual taste. Overall, a decent fruit beer - one to try if you really like raspberries. I sampled this beer on draught at the brewpub on 28-February-2007.
