Dec 3, 2008 Poured from tap at brewpub an amber color with medium off-white head. Nose of malt and bisquit. Flavor was slightly bisquity and a touch of caramel with an odd light peachy floral hoppiness. Palate was light almost watery throughout. Easy to drink but did not get my interest.

Nov 21, 2008 Draft at the brewpub. Poured a clear amber color. The head was thick, khaki, and left some clingy lace behind. Smelled of light flowery hops and a hint of toffee. Light to medium bodied and dry. Lots of earthy flavors including wet stone and woody tree bark. There was also a bit of perfumy hops. Dry finish.

Mar 26, 2008 Beautiful deep amber with good head of froth. Easy fruitiness and light malt intermingle in the bouquet. Fruity flavor, with a dank sock and fruit punch quality.

Mar 8, 2008 Pint at the Thirsty Bear in San Francisco, 19th Feb 2008. Dark amber/maroon colour with a very obstinate head and lots of lacing. Fruity aroma and a good flavour of toffee and slightly roasted malt, helped by a smooth, creamy mouthfeel. An enjoyable ESB.

Jan 18, 2008 From June 2007 tasting notes, sampled at Thirsty Bear. Beautiful clear bronze with a creamy off-white head - very nice. Caramel, light herbal, earthy hops. Flavor of toasted malt/caramel, earthy Brit hops, bread - moderately sweet, medium bitterness. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Leaves a beautiful thick cloud-like lacework on the glass. A solid drinkin’ beer.

Jan 2, 2008 Wife’s pint at the brewpub. Orange body and creamy white head. Dry, nutty aroma. Citric bitterness clings to a malty backbone, and is pleasingly refreshing, although a little forward at times. Overall a solid ESB.

Dec 26, 2007 On tap at Thirsty Bear off Howard Street in SF--Poured an orange-amber hazy body with a small whitish head. Sweet, bitter, and dry. Nutty, dry and biting, but with low carbonation. Solid brew.
