Feb 15, 2006 Updated: Apr 5, 2006Draught at the brewpub. Clear amber, creamy head. Hay-like hop aroma. There’s plenty of sweet malt up front. The mouthfeel is pleasantly rounded. Flavourwise it’s dominated by cookie malt, before a grassy finish with good bitterness sets in. A solid ESB.

Nov 29, 2005 On tap (nitro) at the brewpub. Dark brown, faint sweet malt aroma (nitro hurts it here). Thick nitro tan head. Decent malt taste, hops not present at all except at the end as they linger. Bland city, put this on cask not nitro and let’s see how the beer tastes.

Oct 8, 2005 Nitrogen conditioned. Deep amber with nitro bubbles. Nice off-white head. Malt aroma. Biscuity flavor with enough hops to balance.

Sep 18, 2005 (nitro) Clear amber body with off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, fresh baked bread, light peach. Taste is medium sweet, caramel/toffee, light citrus. Watery light body.

Sep 12, 2005 On tap at the brewpub in downtown San Francisco. Nice, active nitro pour - which I love - dark golden in color, good, thick lacing. Excellent, subtle bitterness in the flavor with some citrus notes and a bit of maple syrup. Good session material. Thick creamy mouthfeel. One of my choices for a pint from the sampler

Feb 25, 2005 02.18.05 Lightly malty nose pervades from beneath a thick froth. Lightly floral. Light and soft body. Light fruits and a mite of apricot. Light. But solid.

Dec 17, 2004 Light amber color. Medium to large sized white foamy head. Aroma is malty and sweet. A medium bodied ESB. Malts are fruity and sweet. Slightly bitter hops. This is more of a mild or a bitter than an ESB. Nice smooth taste, Sweet finish. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Dec 12, 2004 Tap. Red copper ale with a faint hoppy nose. Nice floral hops in start with lightly roasted malts. Lacks in body. (June 2004).
