Commercial Description:
Toasty red in color, this is our Extra Special Bitter. It's round, rich flavor is balanced by a subtle bitterness and a fragrant hop finish. A unique blend of nitrogen and carbon dioxide gases gives this beer a smoother, more flavorful palette and a creamy rich head without the strong bite associated with highly carbonated beers.

A great beer, maybe the favorite from this brewery. Smooth and rich, clean and crisp. Hops and malts well balanced, just a damn good beer in anyones book.

Nitrogen conditioned. Deep amber with nitro bubbles. Nice off-white head. Malt aroma. Biscuity flavor with enough hops to balance.

Pint at the Thirsty Bear in San Francisco, 19th Feb 2008. Dark amber/maroon colour with a very obstinate head and lots of lacing. Fruity aroma and a good flavour of toffee and slightly roasted malt, helped by a smooth, creamy mouthfeel. An enjoyable ESB.

On tap at the brewpub in downtown San Francisco. Nice, active nitro pour - which I love - dark golden in color, good, thick lacing. Excellent, subtle bitterness in the flavor with some citrus notes and a bit of maple syrup. Good session material. Thick creamy mouthfeel. One of my choices for a pint from the sampler

Tap. Amber, long lasting head. Smells like a homebrew store - I kid you not. Interesting. A little dry, not too bad, but average like most of the beers here.

Floral, smooth from the tongue and well transitioned front to back. Soft bite.
