Commercial Description:
Toasty red in color, this is our Extra Special Bitter. It's round, rich flavor is balanced by a subtle bitterness and a fragrant hop finish. A unique blend of nitrogen and carbon dioxide gases gives this beer a smoother, more flavorful palette and a creamy rich head without the strong bite associated with highly carbonated beers.

Light amber color. Medium to large sized white foamy head. Aroma is malty and sweet. A medium bodied ESB. Malts are fruity and sweet. Slightly bitter hops. This is more of a mild or a bitter than an ESB. Nice smooth taste, Sweet finish. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

~Pours a clear copper with lasting off white head. ~Strong scent of caramel malts, alcohol and hops. ~malty biscuity flavor, alcohol present. Berry like flavor as it warms up. ~Creamy feel, alcohol tingle, bitter and malty finish. ~Seems fairly strong for a bitter, Enjoyable nonetheless.

Wife’s pint at the brewpub. Orange body and creamy white head. Dry, nutty aroma. Citric bitterness clings to a malty backbone, and is pleasingly refreshing, although a little forward at times. Overall a solid ESB.

Clear red-amber color, frothy nitro head. Light creamy malt base with a subdued bitter towards the end. It builds on itself through the glass so that the bitter becomes more complex later on. Soft texture and a decent ESB.

Draught at the brewpub. Clear amber, creamy head. Hay-like hop aroma. There’s plenty of sweet malt up front. The mouthfeel is pleasantly rounded. Flavourwise it’s dominated by cookie malt, before a grassy finish with good bitterness sets in. A solid ESB.

On tap at Thirsty Bear off Howard Street in SF--Poured an orange-amber hazy body with a small whitish head. Sweet, bitter, and dry. Nutty, dry and biting, but with low carbonation. Solid brew.

Pours reddish amber with a light hop smell, taste and aftertaste. Some honey sweetness in the nose too. Somewhat refreshing, thin, and decent. I guess about what I expect for the style.
