Thirsty Bear Polar Bear

Tasting tray sample at the brewpub. Pale golden with a sticky white head. Not the most pleasant aroma-- sweaty, wet hair, grains. I suspect the lines ned clening. Flavours are decent pale malt with low leafy hop biterness.

Clear golden with a fizzy white head. Faint sweet malt aroma and a vanilla malty taste with grain finish.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Light grassy to cornish aroma. Mild fruity and slight cornish flavoured. Bitter and crisp hoppy finish.

Willibecker pour at the brewpub. Color is dark golden/light amber. Has a sticky lacing on the surface and a visible carbonation through the body. Aroma is muted herbal hops, which are bitter and clean and a white bread maltiness behind it. Flavor is very "poppy" on the hops and still that clean white bread maltiness behind that. It is a bit heavy on the malts, or a slightly dull malt flavor for the overall structure of the beer.

I had this on draft at the Thirsty Bear brewpub. Clear golden pour, malty w/ a bit of a hop bite, not bad.

~Pours semi cloudy gold with white creamy head. ~Malty scent with spicy Saaz hops, crisp and grassy. ~Spicy hop flavor, a bit dusty, some citrus. ~Light feel, slight bitter finish. ~Nice, flavorful, enjoyable Pils!

The bright light from the polar regions descends upon you, gleaming, covering you, warming you, shinning, through you, in you, cooling. It satisfies you. Aaaah.

Tap at the brewpub: Light golden with a fading white head. Sweet grains in the aroma- some apparent bird feed character. Light body with a sweet and grainy flavor. Bird feed and corn with hardly any bitterness. One-dimensional with too much residual maltose.
