Clean and fresh, very smooth and drinkable. Lightly hopped, and a fair malt nose. Great with those Seafood dishes.

pint comes a bright, suprisingly deep, amber, with a nice white head that retains well and leaves good lace. herbaceous nose, with deep woody notes, hangs heavy over a toasty maltiness, with a light nuttiness. super tasty pils starts clean and malty, with again a bit more character (toasted) than standard pils maltiness. hops balance nicely, with cleanly spiced flavors mixing in with a good solid kick of bittering. really outstanding, with a nice, crisp kick. gorgeous take on a pilsner, though perhaps a bit a-typical in its malt character - but who cares? it’s an awesome drinking beer. a pils made w/pale ale malt?

Willibecker pour at the brewpub. Color is dark golden/light amber. Has a sticky lacing on the surface and a visible carbonation through the body. Aroma is muted herbal hops, which are bitter and clean and a white bread maltiness behind it. Flavor is very "poppy" on the hops and still that clean white bread maltiness behind that. It is a bit heavy on the malts, or a slightly dull malt flavor for the overall structure of the beer.

Draught, Thirsty Bear. Head is mostly diminishing. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (toasted grain), lightly to moderately hoppy (flowers, herbs), with a light note of honey. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Pleasant, clean, delicate rendition.

From June 2007 tasting notes, sampled at Thirsty Bear. Attractive clear golden with a white head. Very faint, barely noticeable nose, a hint of grain and grass. The flavor is much more pronounced than the nose - pleasant light pils malty base, noble hops, lemon zest. Crisp and refreshing. Medium yet smooth/silky texture and proper, lively carbonation. Good beer, just needs some aroma hops.
