Caramel sweet and with some nice hop notes trapez (226), Hilleroed, Denmark Mar 28, 2008 Bottle 33 cl. Alc. 5.8%.
Medium dark yellow. Aroma very limited. Traditional sweet Chrisitmas-beer taste. Nothing extraordinary. Would have expected much better from Thisted Bryghus. BeerBiker (1209), Odense, Denmark Jan 15, 2008 [Sampled in x-mas 2003.] For herrings all the hops can disturb, but a nice beer it is. Not as sweet for the vienna style more sour in its flavor. Fine! yespr (6890), Copenhagen O, Denmark Nov 25, 2007 33 cL bottle. Pours slight hazy, light brown to orange and with a huge white head. Mildly sweet aroma with a nice hoppy bitternote appearing. Flavour holds a nice caramel malt with a nice smoothness. Lingering into a mild finish with a soft bitterness which gains more strength to a more solid bitterness in the far finish. Almost fullbodied and smooth brew. Doesn’t show any spices but has a nice Christmas feel to it. Maria (4418), Thisted, Denmark Apr 2, 2007 Dark amber with a weak head. The aroma has metallic notes of hops and corn? The flavour has roasted malt and hops. The finish and bitterness is moderate. It’s easier to drink than the Thy Julebryg, but IMO it’s quite ordinary.
