Commercial Description:

bottle. Deep black, with a thick brown head. Nice aroma - Chocolate, smoke, coffee, liquorice, and malt. Big chocolate malt flavor, with roasted malt and some bitterness. Long roasted malt finish. Really nice beer; great example of the style.

(Bottle, Ölbaren, Copenhagen, 19 May 2007) Black colour with foamy brown head. Heavily roasted nose with notes of black coffee, chocolate and liquorice. Roasted taste with distinct coffee notes, some chocolate and liquorice. Some citrussy notes in the rather bitter finish. Very well balanced, with coffee being the predominant factor. Great porter!

Dark color, medium brown head. Aroma of rye, roasted malts. Quite sweet taste, roasted malt and rye again. Hint of chocolat. Decent balance, but not spectacular in taste.

Thanks to thewolf for this beer. Thick black poor with a sticky foamy brown head. Aromas of hickory, moca coffee, hint of vanilla, bananas and makes me think of a nice night around a camp fire... You cannot feel or taste the alcohol. Good bitterness, dark bitter chocolate... Very evolutive palate... Creamy mouthfeel. Long lasting Smokey bitter taste that turns slightly sweet towards the aftertaste. Very good beer, this beer is an obvious stout...
