Commercial Description:

Bottle thanks to bager. Darkest brown with a light brown fizzy, noisy head. Aromas are burnt chocolate, and coffee,. More of the same in the flavor, but with a decent hop bite and a nice dusty finish. A touch of alcohol come through after the swallow drying the tongue slightly. Very good. Thanks Lars for coming all the way From Denmark to hang with me and bring me this beer.

330ml bottle obtained in trades with <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/ViewUser.asp?U target=blank>Dixen, <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/ViewUser.asp?U target=blank>Engelsmann and <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/ViewUser.asp?U target=blank>henrikb, thank you Christoffer, Martin and Henrik. Near black in colour, some deep ruby around the edges. Large long lasting beige coloured head, nice lacing. The aroma is of roasted malts, licorice, coffee and chocolate. The flavour is very roasty and burnt, creamy, some noticable alcohol, dark chocolate, espresso, quite sweet, Moderately bitter mouthfeel, large body, medium high carbonation. Finishes with a noticable alcohol warmth, very roasty. Its pretty sweet with lots of roasted malt bitterness and I really enjoyed it but it didn’t have the balance I was looking for.

Black with fine browny creamy head. Aroma of burnt malts/chocolate & coffee. Medium carbonated. Texture is filling and very smooth and soft. Finish has slight bitterness. A porter with power. Truly incredible!

330 ml brown bottle. Small dark beige head that fades away. Black color, perhaps cloudy. Burnt aroma, coffee, citrus. Salty taste. Very special taste. Tastes of seafood (!). A little smoked in the flavour. Not my kind of beer, although it is complex.

(Blind rating at sk8viking’s.) Pours black with a foamy off-white head. Sweet with aromas of smoked malts, liquirish and a hint of band aid / ropes. Medium bodied. Cryspy, dry finish. I´ve got a couple of bottles in the cellar... I think they will improve.

12 oz bottle, via sk8viking. Pours a pitch black colored body under a creamy tight bubbled chocolate brown head. No sediment in bottle. Aroma is of chocolate and roasted malt, rather dry with a light hoppiness and lots of caramel. Flavor is very dry as well, first I get burnt malt, roast, dark chocolate, and coffee. Finish is earthy, slightly astringent, and a little chalky with minimal alcohol flavor. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with very soft carbonation yielding a creamy texture. I was surprised to see that this was not bottle conditioned. A very solid Baltic Porter, full flavored with great drinkbility. I wish I had access to this all the time.
