Roasty smokey chocolate aroma. Hmm... flavor has a lactic thing to the background and finish that makes it seem authentic. Lingering dark bitter chocolate on the tongue. Really good porter. Smoky, ashy aroma is a mix of BBQ and cigarette butts. Roasty malts beneath that, but I don’t really get any coffee, chocolate, raisin, prune or licorice. Body is deep black with a bubbly but fluffy two finger thick mocha head. Fore is a bit watery. Not thin just not flavorful. Bitter and burnt malts follow and bring some welcome flavor that includes esspresso and baker’s chocolate. very charred and burnt like firewood-in the finish. Different, but not something I’m enamored with. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA

Aroam of roasted malt, some smoke, with coffee and chocolate background. Flavor is quite rich with notes of bakers chocolate, coffee, some smoke, and a touch of caramel. Full bodied.. Seemed more of a stout than a porter but creamy on the mouthfeel. Not much carbonation. Quite a drinkable brew. gunnfryd (3594), Kristiansand, Norway

Smoky mouthfeel containing coffee, anise and chocolate flavours. Smooth. Malty flatness to finish a decent Danish brew.
