Sweetish malty with a lightly synthetic edge as if artificial sweeteners has been used, but I seriously doubt that. 071200 joergen (8635), Frederiksberg, Denmark

The flavour is sweet, but not cloying, and it has notes of roasted malt, dark caramel and weak hints of licorice. It’s a tasty Hvidtøl. 1997 faroeviking (6126), BjórtjóðveldiðBjórheimBjórsins, Faroe Islands

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 10, 2005 Bottled: Amber coloured. Clear. Light brown dense head. Aroma is quite different from other "hvidtøl". Light smoked, sweet and caramelly. Flavour is sweet as all other "hvidtøl", but by far not as cloying as usual. Smoke is there as well, all the way through to the end. Light roasted. Probably the best example of the style IMO. yngwie (5019), Kristiansand, Norway
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | May 14, 2006 Bottled. Reddish brown with a beige head. Still. Aroma is roasted, with chocolate and coffee. Sweet flavor with dried fruits and caramel. Sweet, sticky mouthfeel. One of the best hvidøls so far, but still too sweet for me. (060430)
