Clear golden colour. Low white head. Citric hops and lots of it, as if it’s been dry hopped. Very American. Citric hops dominate flavour also with swimming-pool-like hops and nutmeg. Great tasting beer, with adedd spices? Above light body. Good, long bitterness. rlgk (3028), Motala, Sweden Jul 9, 2007 Bottle. Pale golden color, small white head. Floral elder aroma, hoppy and citric notes. Hoppy floral flavor, nice grassy bitterness. yngwie (3602), Kristiansand, Norway Feb 24, 2008 Bottle. With Thisted being an old Danish brewery, I didn’t expect an American-style pale ale when I cracked this one open, but I was wrong. It poured a clear, slightly pale golde body, with a fine off-white head leaving nice lacings. The aroma was citrusy and piney on a malty backbone that was a bit too weak. There was some soapy notes as well, but they disappeared rather quickly, luckily enough. The flavor was citrusy, piney and malty with the hops dominating, but it wasn’t too bitter. Full body and a little astringency from the hops. Fruity, bitter finish. I found it a bit one-dimentional on the hoppy side, but it was quite quaffable, and even though it’s only 5.1% ABV, some alcohol could be detected. Quite nice one though. Hoppy and fruity aroma of flowers, tangerines, light grapefruit, light apricot, wood, nutmeg and some pine. Discreet malty. Fruity and hoppy flavour with tones of flowers, nuts, light pine, apricot, tangerines and some citrus. Light to medium bitter. A bit dry. Light to medium bodied. Nice. tarjei (1300), Bryne, Norway Aug 6, 2007 50 cl bottle. Golden color, nice white head. Hops and fruit in aroma. Flavor has a nice fruity/floral aftertaste.
