Commercial Description:
Note: Retired in November 2003.

Thomas Cooper Finest Export is brewed using a blend of distinctive and complimentary malts from the finest Australian barley. Choicest Pride of Ringwood hops are used early in the kettle boil, providing hop character with a clean palate. An ale yeast selected for its smoothly drinkable results is added to cause fermentation and the brew is finally matured in Coopers' cold cellar. The result is a very thirst-quenching beer of brilliant clarity which reflects both the history of Coopers Brewery as well as the country of its origin.

Pale amber yellow with pale brown 3-4 mm long bits of hops? Small short lasting white head and some light lace. Faint stale hops and mild sweet corn aroma. Some caramel malt on warming. Overly mild bitter hops and faint caramel sweet flavours. Maybe it’s been wussed down for the export market. Unpleasant stale chemical/metallic finish and aftertaste.

A small hoppy aroma & some malt in the flavour but the bitterness is harsh at the end.

I hadn’t tried this untile last night, being a hardcore Copper’s Pale drinker. I was very impressed.
