Pours amber. Taste is musty and old. Bland caramel and grain. Pretty typical amber, not that great.

This, even though it was right out of the bottle, tasted like it had been sitting around for a few days. That dusty old Abita flavor. At Beerfest Miami 09

Bottle pours deep ruby-brown with thin, fast-disapating head and no lacing. Has slightly sweet caramel malt aroma with a small hop nose. Flavor is rich caramel and a bit of roasted malt, just enough hops for balance. Session beer.

Hazy orangey-amber. Slightly crackery, caramelly nose. Light, caramelly taste. Decent - it is very basic but pretty well made.

Bottle. Dark amber with tan head. Sweet caramel malt aroma has some gingerbread. Sweet but low carbonation. Bready in places but boring overall. Too sweet and could become cloying if had more of it. Still, not bad.

GABF 2008. Copper amber in colour, palate is on the thin end, with a straightforward crystal malt structure with an interesting pears-in-syrup note and a mildly woody finish. Aside from the thinness, this was a decent amber with some good character.

12oz bottle. Amber color, long lasting tan head. Aroma of caramel malt. Flavor of bready malt, Bitter finish. Kinda tasty for an amber.

Looks like a typical clear amber, but a little more appetizing than most. Aroma is strong and smoothly hoppy, not outstanding but still inviting. Flavor is rich and overwhelmingly malty - hardly any hop bitterness and exceptionally smooth. This is one beer worth savoring.
