From bottle. Medium caramel aroma, sweet, with sharp spicy hops tainted by some oxidation off notes. Dark amber clear with thin white lacing head. Medium body with medium-heavy carbonation. Starts sweet with toasted grain, caramel, and light oxidation. Good hoppy flavors with medium bitter finish and sweet after.

sample on 6/14/09. pours a deep orange with a small white head. aged malt aroma... does not smell fresh. med body with more sweet aged malts. deep finish, but way too malty for me. I like my IPAs nice and bitter.

Pours a brownish amber with a big beige head. Aroma of hops and sweet malt. Flavor is grainy malt, light hop bitterness, disappointing.

Via trade with tronraner. The pour was clear, vibrant amber with a short white head and spotty lacing. The aroma was spicy and peppery. There was pine and floral hops. Only a whiff of citrus. The flavor was spicy pine hops and some thin malt on the backside. Not bad, just not too complex.

Bottle thanks to decaturstevo. Nose is a malty slightly rye aroma. Pours an orange amber with a good off white head. Flavors are very malty, metallic, notes of grapefruit. Mouth has a light bitterness to it.

Clear copper color. Small, lasting off-white head. Hops in the nose. Medium body, slightly carbonated mouthfeel. Hoppy flavor with a bitter, hop finish. Very little malt in the flavor. Could use a little more of a malt backbone.

Deep red, gummy thick head. Dry malt, brittle leafy hop aroma. Toasty, altogether average and tasty. Little leathery.
