Apr 27, 2009 Bottle shared at tasting. Pours a deep amber copper, with a white head. Aroma of citrus hops. Taste is nicely hopped with a light malt backing. Not bad. Finish is obviously bitter. Body is medium with a fair amount of carbonation. Overall, an enjoyable and basic IPA.

Apr 19, 2009 Nice deep cooper pour, good head and retention. Piney hop backbone is evident on smell and taste and waves of citrus and flowers wafting back and forth. Good overall mouthfeel and the nice toothcoating quality I like. A good quencher which has study enough hops but not overwhelming which leaves for a nice balanced drinkability.

Apr 4, 2009 (trade from Suttree) Body the color of blood orange. Foamy head which goes away fairly quickly. Some hops in the aroma, but not the bang in your face you get from a West Coast IPA. The milder Fuggles are the first hops you taste when drinking, but they’re quickly followed with the citrus-like Cascades. Good malt undertones along with the hops. Thin body. Bitterness lingers on the palate for a bit.

Mar 29, 2009 Bottle: Pours a dark copper with a finger of creamy sand colored head. Fairly heavy malt aroma with a lighter citrus hop presence. Faint dry florals. Tastes of florals, rye, earthiness, and even a bit bready. Dry, floral, and plenty of malts, yet not much sweetness here.

Mar 26, 2009 12 oz bottle courtesy of lithy. Pours a translucent copper color with a big off-white head that has insane lacing. The aroma is moderate in strength with pine resin, leather and a touch of caramel. The taste is lightly biter with, nuts, caramel, cocoa powder and pine. The mouthfeel was a bit thin and watery. The finish is long and dry with lingering pine and caramel. Overall: Another state gets ticked, thanks Justin. Drank this while mowing the lawn and I’m pleased to report that it makes a very good lawn mower beer.

Mar 19, 2009 12 oz bottle sent to me by lithy. Pours a dark copper with a rapidly receding off white head. Aroma is sharp citrus hops with a malty background. Palate is medium bodied with an average amount of carbonation. Flavor is quite hop forward in my opinion. Very sharp bitter hops too. Some malty tones as well. Dry bitter finish.

Mar 17, 2009 12 ounce bottle from Bruisin Ales in Asheville. Pours a reddish copper with a 2-finger head. Good retention and decent lacing. Leafy, vegetal and citrus hop aroma. Taste is vegetal, metallic hop notes with some soapiness. Medium bodied.
