Frosty icing all over the glass. Aroma is earthy tea leaf, toasted pecan and molasses with some citrus touches. Flavor is similar but with some chocolate, honeycomb, ginger, more lemon-grapefruit, and a nutty-resin bitterness throughout. Near-medium body is smoothish, dry and slightly watery in a nice drinkable way. Nice, balanced session IPA. phishpond417 (1953), Madison, Wisconsin, USA

Some citrus, some pine, nice florals. Lots of hops in the nose. flavor is a big hop bite. A beer from SC that reminds me of Portland, OR! Nice grapefruit, decent malt. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 8, 2006 Most of the Thomas Creek beers fail to excite me, although they typically brew very drinkable beers. This one surprised me though. Pours a clear amber. The aroma is big piney hops. Aggressive bitterness. Just enough malt. Surprisingly aggressive beer. ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Oct 7, 2009 Bottle. The blushing gold beer leans towards copper. Short soapsud head. Intruiging hop aromas of orange and chamomille, piney grapefruit, and… cocoa? Unmistakable musty Fuggles leap out but don’t overpower. Crackery malt flavor abounds with sharply citric lupulin goodness. A bit of toffee. Light-bodied. Crisp finish and lingering bitter resiny/earthy aftertaste. A straightforward American IPA. Thomas Creek joins the short list of craft brewers that aren’t afraid of hops. Well done!
