| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 19, 2009 12oz bottle, from Charleston Beer Exchange. Pours deep brown with a bit of a reddish hue, capped with a big tan head. Cocoa is the dominant aroma, along with caramel and nut, with a bit of vanilla. Chocolate is the initial flavor to hit the palate, and is nicely complimented by molasses, pine, plum and brown sugar. Finishes a bit sweet, with a hint of smoke. Very enjoyable beer, especially for the $1.54 price tag. raradel (34), Greenville, South Carolina, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 17, 2009 I live down the road from this brewery and they are starting to earn the respect they deserve. I must admit that this has some weighing on my rating, but this is a really good offering. The smell is a little flat but the taste is there and it is not overly malty. If you can get your hands on one, drink the shit out of it. ucusty (1919), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 19, 2009 Deep brown velvety pour with chocolate and vanilla aromas milling off the head with a slight touch of molasses and caramel sweetness. Smoothed out body enhances a sugary sweetness to the beer which is offset somewhat by a subtle dusty woody touch. Overall this brew is a mouthcoater with a nice dash of drinkability and savory complexities. RVABeerstro (13), USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Apr 11, 2009 Bottle pours deep mahogany color, nearly opaque. Aroma of sweet malt, chocolate, roasted malt, sweet coffee. Flavor is huge roasted and chocolate malt with a rich, creamy mouthfeel. Very robust flavor with a long, coffee, nut and roasty finish. Fits the profile of "liquid bread" very nicely. RollinHard (763), Fort Worth, Texas, USA
