Bottle. Has a nice aroma but more mild then I would have expected. Nice chocolate color. Taste was also mild even though it was pleasant. I would recomend this one for drinking more then once but there are much better Dopplebocks.

6 pack from publix.Maybe they have changed the recipe or modified the bottling process. I had this in the past in a bottle and the tatse was very different from tap. A slight, sour note was detected in my last botlle. With this batch, the nose was very clean, malty, with a roast aspect. Good mouthfeel, good lacing and tracers. A decent finish. This actually came pretty close to the taste of the draft version

12 oz. Nearly opaque brown-black with a 3 finger head that lasts. Aroma is spicy chocolate-caramel and a hint of charred wood. Flavor is a sometimes nice mix of molasses, dried wood, dates, sourish apple, and slight smoke. Great woody-mocha aftertaste. Nearly medium bodied, dryish and smooth at first, but fizzles up almost immediately like Pop-rocks, detracting from the taste considerably.

12 oz. bottle from Suttree, shared with tjthresh. Pour is ruby-brown, clear, with a one inch off white head. Aroma of not much, a little bit of sweet with chemical overtones. Taste is chemically sweet malt with some roast in the finish. Not sure if this bottle was in perfect shape. Thanks Phil!

12 ounce bottle share by theisti
Pours clear with shades of brown and red.
Mostly chocolate aroma with some toffee and toasted character.
Not much flavor at all. What is there makes me feel like we got a bad bottle.
Very thin. HIgh carbonation. Dry finish.
Sub par.

Bottle from Suttree. Dark, dark brown almost black. Aroma of roasted malt and maple syrup. Water thin with bitter roasted flavor. Fizzy and no very good example of the style.
