Sampled at the 2008 Knoxville Brewers’ Jam. Golden in the glass with a white head that has some lasting and good lacing. Slightly floral aroma with some caramel and grain hidden in there also. The flavor is a sweet grain with a slight citrus hop background. Light body.

Sampled at the 12th Annual Knoxville Brewer’s Jam. Clear straw yellow, nice lacing of white head leaves a nice simple thin cover. Dry malt body and grassy Czech hops. Thin but not really watery body. More pale malt and a bite of crisp hops.

12 oz bottle courtesy of Suttree. Pour is crystal clear golden with with a fizzing 2 inch white head. Fair amount of carbonation bubbles working there way to the top of the glass. Aroma of corny maltiness, some earthy bitter waxiness. Taste is more of the slightly bittersweet maltiness, corn features and some hay grassiness in the finish. As this warms, and opens up a bit, the corniness does fade some. Overall, a decent enough Pils. Thanks for sending this one my way Phil!

Thanks to Mikesgrove for this one Bottle poured into a pint glass had a good finger worth of white head that went to a good lace .The body was gold in color and clear The aroma of this brew is mostly fresh bread some grain Flavors are a bit sour, kind of confused me but it wasn’t bad. Not to much hop as well Mouthfeel was light and crisp Not very true to style had I drank it but I would not seek it out if I was looking for a Pills

I did not like this at all. Has a rye bread taste that did not mix well with a pilsener flavor. Grainy sweetness with some light bitterness in the end. The earthy taste needed some balance.

12 oz. Clear, deep gold with a large and lasting head of meringue. Nice soapy lacing. Aroma is honey, sweet dry grass, and slight banana popsicle! Flavor is smooth and balanced mixture of the same, with some buttery toffee apple as well!. Light-medium body is mostly smooth, with some nice hop tingle on the crisp finish. Don’t think the British ale flavors were intentional, but makes this Pilsener surprisingly flavorful; the best from this brewery I have sampled. Rerate with evidently a fresher bottle (with a different label as well!) Appearance: same. Aroma: Clean spicy grass and slight grain, bumped from 6 to 7. Flavor: much more like a pilsener, crisp spicy grain and grassy-lemon hop, well balanced, no fruit flavors this time. Bumped palate from 3 to 4, and overall from 13 to 14. This is one of the best pils I have had.

On tap at Stone Soup, Landrum, SC I tend to favor local beers whenever I get the chance; TC definitely qualifies as a local brewery for me. This one is solid, for sure. It does sit there looking a bit ho-hum in the glass (nervous glance around at neighboring tables -- might they think I’m drinking macro US watery stuff???), but once it hits the nose there’s no doubt that we’re talking a real pilsner here. Great balance of malt and bitterness. Not at all over the top, but solidly holds its own. Try with creamy pasta dishes or shellfish. Nice one.
