Poured a clear ruby brown color with an average fizzy white head that was mostly lasting and good lacing. Moderate toasted malt aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium toasted sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration.
Drinkable above average brew for style. lithy (1825), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

Poured beige head, great retention and lacing. Good malt backbone to support the hops. The mouthfeel was on par with other Octoberfests.

clear amber, nice fine beige head, sweet slightly hopped aroma, rich malt flavor, touch of carmel sweetness but well balanced with just enough earthy hop character to keep it interesting,

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 26, 2006 Sampled at the 10th annual Brewgrass festival in Ashville. Clear amber pour. Big bubbly, thick, creamy head. Good looking. Syrupy and malty sweetness and toasted malt. Just like an Oktoberfest should smell in my opinion. Lightly sweet roasted malt with the presence of well balanced pine and spicy hops (especially in the finish). Body is creamy and somewhat sticky (which detracts) with a dry finish. Not too bad, quite drinkable. beeryum (652), Norcross, Georgia, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 16, 2006 Old notes from Decatur Beerfest 05. Copper gold pour - seemed a little light in color. Medium malty caramel nose, kinda average I guess. More malty flavors, a touch of hops, fairly one-dimensional. To me, not very interesting, but I am not a fan of this style. For style, this seemed on par. slang (407), Columbia, South Carolina, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 25, 2005 A very easy marzen. The mouthfeel is a bit thin, but is highly drinkable. It lacks complexities, would like to try this again. Scubatrip (388), Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Oct 23, 2005 On tap at the Brewgrass Festival in Asheville, pours a clear gold with a thin head. Smells like berries, but I’m not sure which ones. Wierd. Tasted like a hot dog from a ball park concession stand, so I would have to think it would go well with one.
