Semi-hazy and dulled caramel-orange in color with a sudsy, 1/3 inch white head on top and bubbles furthering its growth. Grainy aroma indeed - hay, burlap, chicken feed bags, straw hats with melted caramel, along with mildew ridden warped wooden blanks. Wishy washy flavor with a thin display etches in, imparting a curt caramel edge and a hop pinch at the sides of the tongue. Salty and margarine-laden sourdough crust. Apple fritters fried in corn fat and potatoes shavings to boot. Slippery and clinging to the mouth’s top with an acidic bite and carbonation zing. A caramel praline characteristic underscores the finish, but it sears and separates way too easily when it’s all said and done.

Sharp, funky cheese-like aroma along with grassy hops. Pale yellow/golden color with a two ginger thick white head. Spritzy, citrus, grain tinged fore. Very Belgian feel to it. Yeasty with creamy fruit mash notes and more of that spritzy feel in the finish. I’d really like to know if they used a Belgian Yeast for this. Anyway I think it is highly underrated...it’s a damn well put together beer.

Bottle. Pours orange/yellow honey color with white head. The aroma is grain, distant hops, and corn husk. The flavor is a bit strange, maybe ricey. A bit of a metallic tone in there, too. Otherwise quite yeasty and a carbonic finish. I’m not a fan of this one.

Pours brown with a fluffy head. Smells breaddy with little else but a bit of a grassy smell. Taste is boring with some mild peppery tinges.

Pours with a muddy brown body topped by a thick, quickly disappearing head with some lacing. It’s yeasty and bitter with notes of wheat, a touch of hops and a little spice. Meidum bodied and smooth.

Thanks Beer_Hawk! Pours a cloudy orange color with a HUGE head that rapidly disappears. Aroma is weak and wheaty. The flavor is like the aroma, very light and wheaty. Hints of hops in the aftertaste. Very light and bubbly on the palate. Not a bad beer, but not a beer that I am chomping at the bit to have again.

Bottle. Pours a light orangish brown color, with a tiny fizzy head that quickly dissipated. Smells of grass, spices, lemon, tea, and a paper mill noted. The flavor found burnt wood, grass, strong tea. Almost musty and old tasting. Smooth, light, but different.

Pours a very cloudy lite brown/ pale tan with a decent white head. Aroma is odd malty and grass like. The taste is better than I planned for, very smooth and well rounded, I like the ’tea’ example someone used. Very drinkable and leaves a nice palate. I would def. drink again but I don’t think a whole six-pack is needed.
