golden with a slight haze, whispy white head that can be roused into producing some lace, lightly hopped dry malt aroma, dry malt flavor, lots of grain character like a multi grain bread,

12oz bottle acquired in trade with Suttree (thanks!). Poured a deeper and hazy golden color with a large sized white head. Aromas of stronger grain and some lemon/citrus. Tastes of grain and citrus. I too had some sourness in this one that I found to be very detracting and out of place.

12oz bottle. Pours a light tan head with amber color. Aroma is medium malt and an undesirable sour fruit. Taste follows. They seem to be aware that some product doesn’t go out at optimal/acceptable to the beer drinker condition and are working on it. Seems to affect their bottled product more than kegs.

Pours brown with a fluffy head. Smells breaddy with little else but a bit of a grassy smell. Taste is boring with some mild peppery tinges.

Bottle, purchased in Nashville. Murky soft yellow and orange colored body. Large head, light tan in color. Light dusty malts in the nose, with a crisp and spicy texture on the tongue, with light hay and yeast flavors abounding, even some basil-like notes. A little weird, and a bit like a spiced ale or witbier. The light sourness at times reminds me of flemish sour ale.

Poured a slightly hazed golden yellow color with a thin white head. Phenolic band-aid aroma. Light fruity notes. Sweet grainy malt. The flavor had a light tartness and acidity. Dry finish with a moderate bitterness. Thin bodied.

Bottle from Hop and Leaf Feb 2005. Light orange color, decent clumpy white head. Aroma has some good hops notes in it, with some light malt notes and a bit of herbal/grass character. Flavor shows more hops, like fuggles or colombus, something a little bit out of the ordinary anyways. Very smooth palate, it’s tough to describe. Not creamy or oily, just. . . smooth. Notes of rose petals, vanilla essence, rye. Some soap on the finish detracts, however. Very intriguing beer, wish I had more to try actually. Medium body, moderate carbonation.

Pours a clear amber with small head that went away pretty quick. Not a good sign. Light, malty aroma with a tiny bit of floral to it. I go into this expecting the worst but an pleasantly surprised by the taste. Yes it’s malty but the taste of the multi grains and light hoppiness balances it out pretty well. Not too sweet and medium bodied, this wasn’t bad at all.
