Cask ale tasting at Sweetwater. Poured a dark brown. Aroma of heavy malts and some hop. Taste is very nice, with a good amount of sweet malt and a hoppy bitter finish. Very easy drinking. Palate is very nice for this porter.

12 oz. Nearly opaque brown-black with a small, but lasting head. Aromas of coffee, caramel and cocoa. Taste is a nice blend of the same, with some marshmallow and char added for more complexity. Medium body is watery in a nice way, mostly smooth, and roasty dry. This brewery has really stepped it up several notches with the bottling of this excellent porter.

Thanks to Mikesgrove for this one Poured into my snifter produced a fingers worth of tan head that turns into a ring of lace around the glass .The body of this brew was dark brown in color Aromas of roasted malts, some sweet toffee as well as coffee note filled my nose from the glass. The flavors of mimic the aromas but with a slight smoky bitter involved as well. I can see why the word Peat was used before in a review the mouthfeel was medium to light I will agree it needs some more body to it This is a good brew and with a little tweaking it could become world class. I was very impressed keep it up guys. Thanks again Mike for the opportunity

Cask at Atlanta Cask Ale Festival. Oak aging here is subtle. Aroma is more roasted coffee and malt. The hops here are a little more in balance with the overall beer. Bitter grapefruit and citrus hop flavors.

On cask at Atlanta Cask Ale. Great color and light smooth drinkability. I got aromas of coffee and tastes of bittersweet chocolate with a little sugary residue as it finished.

On cask at the 1/27/07 Atlanta Cask Ale Tasting: Pours a mostly opaque with dark brown edges and a thin ring of tannish head. Aroma of sweet dark malt with some plum and raisiny complexity. Body starts with a dark caramely malty sweet flavor and some toasty notes with a good amount of dark chocolate in the finish. A nice porter.

Black, no head. Mildly chocolate aroma. Typical Porter flavors - chocolate, coffee, etc - but there is a pronounced alcohol burn that is unusual for an under 6% (?) beer. Unique savory spicy finish.

12oz bottle. Pours a very dark opaque brown. Big aroma of roast, peat smoke, and seaweed. Some raisin and plum aromas as well. First sip yeilds the flavor of tobacco and licorice spiciness. Follows up with some vanilla notes. Bittersweet cocoa. French roast coffee bean deep in the finish. Medium bodied.
