Aroma is medium sweet, sour cherry, earthy, some caramel, chocolate. Taste is moderately sweet, caramel, sour cherry, light earthy, chocolate, salt. Light-medium body, light stickiness. I assume the sourness was due to infection -- no idea how old the bottle was, but I drank it within two days of purchase. Apellonious (53), USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 24, 2006 Bottle. SC. Pours a cloudy orange with a thick head that dissapates rather quickly. Fruity aroma. The taste is one of malt and fruit, grassy, a tad bit (ok, more than normal) watery. Decent beer overall, though nothing terrible exciting, say, like, discovering you have three nipples. Would drink it again, (especially to try it on tap) but wont go searching for it. jcwattsrugger (5532), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 10, 2006 On draft (in a frosty mug because I didn’t have the foresight to ask for a plain one). This one had a minimal off- white head that diminished rapidly. As advertised, the body was of an amber/ red color. I usually hate to compare to other beers, but this was boring enough to have only a few descriptors. It reminded me of a Killian’s Red, but with more malty sweetness and a slightly fuller body. Not terrible with a meal, but too plain to stand out on its own. cbkschubert (2004), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA

Flavor and aroma are sweet and fruity. Not much malt flavor to speak of. Has a lingering bitterness. Light to medium body. This beer is more of a fruit beer than a Red ale. Not too bad. Thanks Steve. decaturstevo (1997), decatur, Tennessee, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 12, 2006 A maltly fruity aroma. A hint of fruityness in the taste that I thought was cherry but I’m just not sure. A slight bitter at the end that is not bad. A pretty good beer all the way through. They just need to get that sediment thing under control. aracauna (2391), Georgia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 8, 2006 The Red Ale pours a dark amber. There is a touch of caramel malt in the aroma with a tiny hop aroma. There’s a mild hop bitterness, but overall there’s really not a lot here to keep my interest. I much prefer the Amber Ale over this. Cable (286), SE, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 5, 2006 Sampled from bottle, a gift from Dansting. Pours orange-amber with a faint haze, a thick foamy head and intricate lacing. It’s an inviting appearance. Aroma is rich malt with some hop spice. Balanced, malty flavor accented by over-ripe plum and caramel. Medium-light body and lightly carbonated. A very enjoyable, easy-drinking ale.
