Clear, pinky orange beer with a thin, beady head. Dry, peppery, starchy. Medium to medium-light body. Fizzy, German hop sizzle on the finish. This wasn’t the most complex of beers, but it went very, very well with a hand-tossed pepperoni pizza on a cold, sunny day in Maggie Valley, NC. Clean, very clean.

Pours amber/red with a thin head. Sells lightly of roses and sugar. Taste is of chewable vitamins, mild fruit and somewhat vegetal. Finish and mouthfeel are watery and non-descript with only the smallest hint of a peppery note.

If there was such a thing as generic beer at a grocery store, you would have this beer with a plain black & white label that said "Red Ale." Amazingly unremarkable, another reviewer succintly said it was liking drinking from a malt flavored water fountain. kudos to the reviewer, shame on the brewer.

(12 oz bottle: Obtained in trade with suttree, thanks Phil!) Boy, there’s just not too much to say about this beer. I keep taking sips, hoping to find some magical inspiration, something witty to say about this beer, but it’s just a boring, generic red ale. And it’s not even all that flavorful, showing some sweet caramely malts, a moderate fruitiness, mild bitterness and a bit of sourness. Caramel and mild sourness in the nose. Light-medium bodied and quite carbonated with a slightly chalky mouthfeel. Muddy amber body has an off-white cap that quickly settles to a wide ring. Next...

Bottle. Strong fruit aroma - like a peach or strawberry malt milkshake. Medium amber color with small head. Moderately sweet fresh strawberry malt flavor. Not bad tasting but rather strange and different from most beers - almost more like a fruit beer.

(Draught) Pours an amber body with a moderate white head. Aroma of grassy hops and caramel malt. Flavor of sweet malt, grapefruit, and soapiness.

Bottle acquired in trade with SpringsLicker (thanks!). Poured a darker and cloudy amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of light oranges, caramel, and citrus. Tastes of caramel and oranges. Starts out with a caramel sweetness and ends in a light hoppy bitterness. Thinner body.
