Aroma of grapes and stale hops. Flavor is a bit thin, piney hops, lots of "cardboard malt", with a sweet finish. Thanks to IMTheOptimator for this one! Cottrell (72), Connecticut, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 21, 2005 This is a amber colored beer, with a sticky white foam on top of the body. Fruity, floral hops invade the nose. This smells juicy and reminds me of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. This brew starts off with a caramel flavor, then moves into bitter juicy hops. Fruity flavors prevail, grapefruit, and citrussy orange rind. This is a well balanced brew, and the hops never take the whole brew over at any point. From what I hear, this is still a work in progress. Paul Davis is still refining it, and he’s doing a great job. An excellent brew worth seeking out if in the CT area. jazz88 (2238), San Francisco, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 25, 2004 Bottle. A dark amber color with a diminished off-white head. Sweet malts in the aroma wtih an initially sharp hop bite that finishes smoothly with a sweet and floral flavor. Thanks to Nuffield for this Connecticut beer. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 14, 2004 Bottle. Clear and amber. Decent head that fades to little to no lacing. Good hoppy aroma, but that’s about it. Maybe some citrus, but it’s faint. Flavor has subtle hoppiness with citrus and caramel. Finishes slightly bitter, but not too overwhelmed. It’s well balanced, albeit simple. Overall, it’s clean and refreshing, not exactly what you’d expect from an American Hooker. IMtheOptimator (1161), Bethel, Connecticut, USA

Crisp hoppy aroma. Taste has a refreshing hop character. Rather one-dimensional but a fine beer for the quenching of thirst. Kevin (1918), Colorado, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Nov 27, 2004 Bottle. Hoppy nose-bitter on the front end, strong hoppy/floral flavor with some light malt. This beer is the typical American pale ale. Kind of one sided. TChrome (1299), Bedford, Texas, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 25, 2004 Beer pours pale orange with a fizzy off white head that dies quickly. Aroma is hoppy grapefruit and a bit medicinal. Hoppiness just is not there in reference to American pales. Beer is good in an understated kind of way, but just not nearly enough in the hop department.
