Pours a clear amber brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that leaves behind a fine film and white ring along with some spotty lacing. Aroma of sweetened caramel malt, a touch of citrus and floral hops and some citrus fruit in the background. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonated with flavors of roasted caramel malt, some grapefruit zest and a touch of bitter citrus. Finish is slightly dry with a caramel and grapefruit citrus zest aftertaste. Ughsmash (4095), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 17, 2007 I’m not sure who brought this, but Thanks! Poured clear medium caramel with a short cap of off-white head. The aroma picked up semi-sweet caramel with light floral and herbal hoppage.. some fruit (incl. citrus) at the back. The flavor had a very nice toasty caramel backing supporting moderate pine and grapefruit bitterness.. nice balance, and floral notes increased approaching the finish.. not too exciting, but tasty. Medium-bodied with nice balance.. almost too dry, though. MIBRomeo (1966), Wisconsin, USA
