Aroma is creamy, caramel malts and citrus hops. Initial is a bold bitter astrigent hops overlaying with a slight malts sweetness. The bitter hops seem to overwhelm the malts and take over from the start to finish. Finishing with a bitter hops and earthy tones. Some lacing of the glass and head retention. Medium body, palate duration is average. rocbyter (926), Waterbury, Connecticut, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 8, 2007 Bottle courtesy decaturstevo. Pours clear copper. Aroma of nuts, candi sugar and citrus. The taste is much the same. A bit of resinous bitterness in the finish. I good beer but somewhat unusual for an IPA. Jayb0 (752), Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 2, 2007 Draft: Very nice IPA with agressive, somewhat resiny chinook hopping and nice citrus nose. Very well balanced. RblWthACoz (963), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 28, 2007 Pours a clouded and very dark ruby hued amber. Mild nose with some pine like citrus scents to it and an almost salty edge as well. Flavor is smooth with hops. No hop bomb here though. Just a pretty smooth and even pine like character. Feel is higher with carbonation on the tongue and a thicker almost syrupy liquid feel. Drinkable, sure. It is a good IPA, but no home run. tjthresh (1781), Greenfield, Indiana, USA

Pours a dark red with a dark white (?) head Leaves some nice lace behing.
Really good grapefruit and pine nose, with some biscuity malt.
The flavor is 90/10 hops to malt. Just the way I like it. The signature rough bitter finish of Chinook hops is also one of my faves.
Really easy to drink medium body with pleasant carbonation and a medium dry finish.
I sure would love to have this one around everyday.
