Light amber color with medium head. Nice citrusy-pine hop aroma with some sweetness to it. Taste is hoppy, well-balanced with some nice malt flavors. Pleasant hop presence that doesn’t overpower. A solid all-around IPA. mkobes (2104), paramus, New Jersey, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 11, 2006 Draught at Blue Dog. Bright amber body with an ample cottony beige head. Nice danky hop aroma with notes of herb, pine resin, and grapefruit. Flavor has a semi-dry malty maple backbone with lots of Chinook character and a lacerative, overbalancing bitterness. Lingering and very piney hop aftertaste. A palate wrecker. Solid East Coast IPA.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 6, 2006 Bottle... Clear amber ale with a mid-sized, frothy, off-white head. Excellent retention. Fruity, piny nose with notes of evergreen, grapefruit, mandarin orange and toffee. Solid malt with torrid west coast hops. Leans well onto the bitter side of balance despite plenty of rich caramel. Full-bodied and chewy with modest carbonation. Finishes bitter and dry. <Kudos to jimbowood for sending the bottle! kenb (1100), Oregon, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 1, 2006 12 oz Bottle via mystery beer swap (thanks jjpm74!). Pours a crystal clear amber with a small beige head. Nose is fairly subtle, mostly floral hops. This one is all about the hops. Mandarin orange, orange peel, grapefruit, and a bit of pine and nuttiness in the finish/aftertaste. Medium body. Moderate to high carbonation. A slightly above average IPA that hits the spot. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 29, 2006 Savannah. Ga. - Habersham Beverage Warehouse - 22 0z bottle. Dark copper-amber pour; extra fluffy pillowy khaki colored head. Fresh sprucey aroma with hints of spearmint. Typical west coast hoppiness, grapefruit etc...you know the rest - tastes great - just tired of describing it for my 103rd IPA! Good balance as well, some nuttiness and chocolate to balance it out. Thickish, creamy mouthfeel. In the upper tier of east coast "west coast" IPAs in my opinion. matta (1139), Tampa, Florida, USA

This alpha IPA pours a rich bronze body and a fluffy ivory cap of head. The aroma would reminds me of early weekend mornings as a child, sitting on my parents patio mid winter and eating hand picked grapefruit covered in sugar. The caramel malts hold up well to the bold spicy hops... I think hop oil is used? The palate is oily and sticky on the finish…. A really nice beer… not too much in any one direction!
