| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 20, 2006 Light amber pour with nice, lasting white lace - full, almost toasted hop aroma, with a nice background caramel sweetness, some bready malt, light herbs, gingerbread - not overwhelming hops in the flavor, but just enough to give you a nice dose - perfect malt backbone balance - those Cascades really come through and last throughout - long, toasty, hop and bread yeast finish - delicious - reminds me of what Hop Devil used to taste like. xproudfoot (729), Paleolithic, Pennsylvania, USA

Delicious looking dark amber beer with generous spongy beige head. Light bodied, but full flavored, quite bitter, grapefruity. Downright delicious, easy flow to the gullet. bittersweet. nice substantial finish. This bomber will be gone in no time. Delectable, serve anytime without hesitation. footbalm (1218), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Aug 18, 2006 I do not think that this bottle weather the trip here al that well. Most of it ended up on the counter and in the sink as it flowed out like a fountain.
Hell,it had a soured hoppy nose and really was pretty sour tasting as well. FoolishMortal (966), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 14, 2006 22oz. bottle. Deep amber color with a huge rocky tan head. Citric metallic, vegetal hop aromatics with some ruddy caramel malt underneath. Heavy resinous hop character, somewhat coarse. Nutty, biscuity malt flavors on the verge of a chocolatey sweetness, but held in check by grapefruit and metallic hop flavors. Mouthfeel is medium, rather dry. kimcgolf (835), Dacula, Georgia, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 1, 2006 Poured to a much darker color than I was expecting from an IPA, almost a hazy brownish orange. However, had a thick tan head that lingered throughout, and left excellent lacing all around the glass. Aroma of hoppy citrus fruit, but not real defined. Flavor was more hoppy grapefruit, and the finish was long and slightly bitter. A good IPA. snowden719 (130), USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 24, 2006 Pours amber with a thin white head that last a while. Aroma is hop biterness both piney and citrussy, some caramel. Flavor starts with a bit of caramel sweetness, then to citrussy hops, and finishes on piny hops. Finish is nice and long. Solid, but the flavor could be a bit bigger. IndianaRed (1560), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 23, 2006 Bottle Pours a clear deep redish amber witha huge sandy colored head that slowly recedes leaving lots of sticky web-like lacing. Aroma is not a very strong hop bitterness, more woody and grassy. Flavor is very bitter. Not in a particularly flavorfull way. Just bitter, sharp and harsh. The malt profile is eclipsed by the astringnet bite. Thank you Santa. Naven (876), Poway, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 16, 2006 22 Oz bottle, courtesy of Jimbowood. Smells good, with a nice dark amber appearance. Pretty nice upon first taste, yet the alcohol presence is pretty strong. Not a bad IPA, but certainly not one of the better ones I have had. Suffers from too much malt, and the alcohol is not well hidden. Average.
