Pours a dark amber color, thin light tan head with little lasting or lacing. Nose of mostly sticky, burnt caramel malt notes. Some notes of faint bitterness and light sweet citrus fruit. Aroma on the weak side, with not much in the way of hops. Flavor follows the nose, and also disappoints. Light citrus bitterness on the front, some light floral notes, but most of the flavor dominated by thin, sweet malt flavors of light toffee and bready notes. Palate is full and creamy with a clean finish and middling carbonation. Overall, rather disappointing for an IPA. Barrios (858), Nashville, Tennessee, USA

Smells of thick, sweet, old hops and some malt. Flavor is spice, citrus and floral hops. This is great. thekmoonlegend (93), Lynn, Massachusetts, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jun 1, 2009 I had the beer at the Thomas Hooker Brewery from directly from the holding tank. Aroma typical of IPA, floral and hoppy but with a hint citrus. Darker color than most IPAs, medium bodied. Complex with strong finish, slightly bitter. I enjoyed this beer. mabel (2612), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Slightly hazy, dark amber brown body with a medium-lasting foamy off-white head. More grassy hoppy flavour. Medium bitter body. Nice bitterness overall, enjoyable.

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 11, 2009 From a 12 fl. oz. bottle with no marking or expiration date. It pours a deep mahagony-brown with consistant carbonation and a huge amount of foamy beige head. The aroma does not have the traditional aroma for an IPA but, wow, there is something very sweet or berry-like in the scent. Maybe it’s the pine. Medum mouthfeel. The hops are deemphasized by the primary flavor of sweet malts and something with a berry sensation. This is very unique and not typical of the IPA’s I have had. I enjoyed it t quite a lot. lithy (1725), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 26, 2009 Bottle thanks to Cletus. Pours a dark amber red with a thick tight light beige head. Herbal, floral, citrus hop aroma. Taste is unfortunately a watery palate, caramel base is there, but just too liquid then a light bitter finish of herbal and pine hops. jerc (3936), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

(6+) Flavour is quite sweet actually, light herbaceous hop bitterness. Average palate. Decent, but pretty meh. Perhaps caught me at the wrong time or an older bottle? Who knows. Has a good mouthfeel. A crisp hoppy taste. Good carbination. A solid medium body. Has a creamy to oily texture. Has a nice finish. Not overly hoppy but still a strong hop presence. I like it. Good job TH.
